New Delhi: Welcoming the announcements of election dates, the Janata Dal (United) on Monday said that National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is fully prepared to face the polls on the strength of its development works done in the state. Party general secretary KC Tyagi on Monday said the NDA is geared up for the Lok Sabha elections scheduled to be held in April.

Speaking exclusively to ETV Bharat, Tyagi praised the efforts of NDA and said Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has always focused on the development of the state.
A three-men committee including Vashishtha Narayan Singh, Vijender Yadav and Lalan Singh has been formed in JD(U) for the selection of the party candidates. Final names of the candidates will be selected by JDU president Nitish Kumar, Tyagi added.
The process of selection of seats and candidates in the state will be decided by this week, he said.
On the party manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Tyagi said that NDA will appeal the voters on behalf of both state and central government policies and achievements.
He claimed that the NDA is united and victorious in Bihar under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, adding, the party shall also contest for the Lok Sabha election outside Bihar.

The party has already decided to contest the election in Lakshwadeep by identifying one candidate. For Manipur and Uttar Pradesh the party has considered one and three candidates respectively, he said.
However outside Bihar, the JD(U) will not be an alliance partner with Bhartiya Janata Party, he concluded.
