New Delhi: Amid the ongoing farmers' agitation over the new farm laws, Left leaders Sitaram Yechury and D Raja on Monday met NCP supremo Sharad Pawar in the national capital and decided to wait for the Supreme Court judgement on the issue.
Talking to reporters after meeting Sharad Pawar, CPI (M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury said, "We are following all the developments related to farmers agitation. We will take a decision only after the Supreme Court judgement comes out."
"It was just an informal meeting. Pawar sahab has come here from Mumbai in the New Year. Of course, we discussed informally on the ongoing farmers' agitation, the Supreme Court observations to come out and we will have to wait for the farmers union reaction," said CPI general secretary D Raja.

Meanwhile, during the hearing of a clutch of pleas challenging the new farm laws, Supreme Court expressed disappointment over the way the centre has handled talks with farmers' unions and said, "we proposed to form a committee and if the government does not then we will stay the implementation of the farm acts."
