'Naming of Masood Azhar as global terrorist began in 2009'

Reacting over Masood Azhar being blacklisted as a global terrorist, veteran Congress leader P Chidambaram said the process of naming Azhar as a terrorist started under Congress' reign and 10 years later process is complete. He also questioned Azhar's release in 1999.

New Delhi: After United Nations blacklisted Masood Azhar as a global terrorist, a 'credit war' has been now started between Congress and Bhartiya Janta Party.

While answering questions in a press conference in Delhi, veteran Congress leader P Chidambaram said "We started the process in 2009 to name Masood Azhar as global terrorist, 10 years later process is complete.

Prime Minister Modi is only talking about the last scene of the story, it's like going to a movie and only looking at the last scene, what about the earlier scenes?"

Mentioning the name of terrorist Hafiz Saeed and Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, former union minister also said that Masood Azhar is not the first person, two more terrorists (Hafiz Saeed and Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi) were named as global terrorists when Congress was in power.

He also put questions on Masood Azhar's released in 1999.
