Alwar: Rajasthan police on Sunday launched an investigation after a mutilated body of an 11-year-old child was recovered in Alwar under Malakhera police limits. The victim's nose, ears and nails were reportedly chopped off and the body and the family members have alleged practice of occult science behind the crime.
Police suspect that this is a case of murder and body was found in a mustard field. According to reports, the body also has signs of cut marks and injuries.
The deceased, identified as Nirmal, went missing two days back following which the family lodged a case of kidnapping with the Alwar police. Victim's father claimed that his family members killed Nirmal as they follow superstitious practices.
Victim's father told ETV Bharat, "My son was missing from the past two days. We searched throughout but could not found him. The members of my family 'sacrificed' my son for occult practices."

Alwar superintendent Tejashwi Gautam said, "A complaint was filed yesterday in Akbarpur police station regarding the abduction. Today, we have recovered a body of a child and his age is estimated to be 11 years. A team of police officials and Forensic Science Laboratory Division (FSL) have reached the spot and we are trying our best to arrest the accused."
A case has been registered and dog squad teams have been pressed for speedy investigation.
