New Delhi: Dedicated to 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, a multimedia play Bapu titled 'Bapu aj bhi jinda hai' will be played on the evening of Oct 2, 2019.
The event will take place at Sri Fort Delhi. Giving details about the event MoS Steel Faggan Singh Kulaste in an exclusive interaction with Etv Bharat told that Gandhiji is global icon who not only took up the issue of Indian independence movement but various social issues dedicated to equality, non-violence and women issues.
At that time it was focused on 40 crore Indians but now it is for 130 crore Indians.
The present government with its schemes like Swach Bharat, Ujjwala Yojna and others is ensuring that the ideology of Gandhi Ji remains in the life of every Indian.
Gandhiji believed that India lives in its rural area so schemes like 'Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna' are introduced. The idea is to ensure the development of each and every Indian.
When asked about the brutal killing of 2 Dalit kids in Madhya Pradesh for open defecation which is totally against the idea of teaching of equality for Harijans and non-violence, Kulaste replied that its unfortunate and this could have avoided. Government has taken notice of the incident.
The play ' Bapu Aaj Bhi Zinda hai' is written by Pratibimb Sharma and directed by Kunwar Shayamendra Singh.
It will be moderated by Padmshri actor Manoj Joshi. Union minister Harsh Vardhan, Prakash Javdekar and Faggan Singh Kulaste are expected at the event
