Shopain (JK): The Mughal road connecting the valley with rest of the country through an alternate route was opened for traffic on Sunday after being closed for one month following snowfall in the region.
The road had to be closed in November and since then manpower and machines were put for snow clearance. Finally, the highway was made capable of one-way traffic.
Assistant Engineer Mechanical Department Fayyaz Ahmed said Mughal Road had to be closed for traffic on November 05 and 07 due to heavy snowfall. After that, we started the snow clearance work on the road.
Deputy Commissioner Shopain Chowdhury Mohammad Yasin reviewed the condition of the road and the road was restored for one way traffic.
