Keolari (Madhya Pradesh): Marriages, they say, are made in heaven. Contrary to the saying, a couple's marriage was made, literally, in a police station!
With the parents opposing their marriage, the couple - Arvind Kumar and Rajkumari made the Kelori police station as the venue for their wedding.
Hailing from Madhya Pradesh's Keolari district, the couple, with the help of the police department, tied the knot on Tuesday.
The police arranged for the wedding, as the couple's families were against their decision to get married.
The couple were in a relationship for quite some time, however, it was never approved by their families. This further drove them to elope from their respective homes and seek police department's help in getting married.
After investigating the case, Inspector KK Awasthi found the duo to be majors, who loved each other and wanted to get married.
The police later arranged the wedding on the police station premises and the couple were married according to Hindu rituals.
Inspector KK Awasthi with police staff and other locals attended the wedding and wished them a happy married life.
