Moradabad doctor who tested positive for coronavirus dies

A doctor who tested positive for coronavirus passed away in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad. The condition of the doctor was critical and samples of all the health staff who came in contact with the deceased have been sent for testing.

Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh): Uttar Pradesh doctor who was confirmed of coronavirus passed away on Monday morning at Teerthanker Mahaveer University Medical College, taking the death toll in the district to three.

The deceased doctor was put on ventilation two days back after his health deteriorated. Earlier, he was kept in an isolation ward for about eight days and after his demise, his family members have also been quarantined.

Moradabad Chief Medical Officer Dr MC Garg confirming the death of the doctor says that the deceased doctor was in a critical condition and was put on a ventilator at the Teerthanker Mahaveer University medical college.

Moradabad Chief Medical Officer Dr MC Garg said, "A covid-19 positive doctor, who was undergoing treatment at Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) medical college, died last night. He was in a critical condition and was put on a ventilator.

The doctor was posted at Primary Health Center in Tajpur and was currently working in the Corona Control Room at Moradabad.

After the doctor's death, the administration has sealed Tajpur Primary Health Center and samples of health staff have been sent for testing. Panic has triggered among the health workers and all the medical staff who came in contact with the deceased doctors have put themselves in self-isolation.

Moradabad has recorded 56 positive cases of Covid-19 and total cases in Uttar Pradesh stands at 1084, out of which 108 people have been cured. The state has claimed 17 deaths till date.
