New Delhi: With the Union Cabinet having approved Citizenship Amendment Bill a few days ago, the Narendra Modi government, which is a bit apprehensive about its passage in parliament, is leaving no stone unturned to get the bill passed.
According to sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have prepared a strategy to get the important bill passed in both the houses - Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha.
A senior BJP leader has told ETV Bharat here that the government is a bit apprehensive about the bill and does not want to take a chance of any kind.
It has, therefore, started convincing and persuading the NDA partners about it. Both, Modi and Shah, are serious on the issue and have advised BJP leaders and MPs to take everyone concerned into confidence on the matter and ensure the smooth passage of the bill.
