New Delhi: National Security Analyst, Nithin Gokhale on Friday claimed that Narendra Modi led government at centre adopted a comprehensive policy regarding India's national security.
Speaking to ETV Bharat on national security, he stated that security architecture has been reorganised and re-energised by the current government.
"Apart from strengthening India's National Security Advisory Board (NSAB), Prime Minister Modi has extended the security apparatus pertaining to country's internal security," he said.
"The national security architecture has been drastically extended. Over the last couple of years it has been playing an extended role as far as India's internal security is concerned," Nitin A Gokhale added.
Speaking on the comprehensive coverage of the national security policy, he said, "officials from cross sections of security establishment have been incorporated in the security architecture."
The NSAB is an advisory baord under NSA and the National Security Council.
The advisory board consists of senior retired officials, civilians as well as military, academics and distinguished members of civil society groups. Interestingly, former RAW and NTRO chief Aloke Joshi is the latest inclusion in NSAB.
