Hyderabad: Karimnagar and Nizamabad district administrations on Tuesday made arrangements to ferry a total of six thousand migrant workers to their native state Odisha, an official said.
Three special Sharamik trains have been deployed to facilitate the travel of migrants who have registered with the state government. According to reports, the migrant workers will have to undergo thorough screening before reaching the Railway station.

"Moreover, nearly 170 buses have been sanitised to bring daily labourers from their respective districts to the Railway station. Their personal details and travel history will be recorded, they will also have to undergo screening and health check-up. Thereafter they will be provided food," Additional collector Shyamprasad Lal said.
He also added that migrants showing any symptoms of COVID-19 will be moved to a quarantine centre and a detailed health examination will be carried out before they are allowed to board the train.
Meanwhile, Collector Shashanka on Tuesday inspected the Railway counters and took stock of the situation.
