New Delhi: Absconding Maulana Mohammed Saad Khandalwi, the head of Markaz Tablighi Jamaat in New Delhi's Nizamuddin area has released another audio which has gone viral. In the new audio message, Maulana Saad stated that he is in self-isolation and he also called his followers extent full support to the authorities.
"I am in self-quarantine in Delhi as advised by the doctors and appeal to all Jamaat wherever they are in the country to follow the directives of the law," appealed Maulana Saad in his audio message to the Tablighi Jamaat members. He further urged the Tablighi members to quarantine themselves as it is not against Islamic Shariyat.
He also advised them to remain indoors and follow the directions of the government and not to assemble anywhere.
However, in the earlier audio, he was allegedly heard instructing his followers to not abide by the government for medical guidelines with regards to the coronavirus outbreak.
The Delhi Police had on Tuesday registered an FIR against Maulana Saad and other, under the Epidemic Disease Act and Indian Penal Code for holding a religious gathering and violating lockdown orders. Meanwhile, Crime Branch of Delhi Police has sent teams to Saad's Muzaffarnagar residence and is also searching him and six other members in New Delhi's Zakir Nagar and Nizamuddin area.
