New Delhi: Maharashtra BJP filed a petition in the Supreme court against the post-poll alliance among NCP, Congress and Shiv Sena.
The party alleged that they fought against each other but are trying to form the government by joining hands.
The petition pleaded the SC to asses, "whether an alliance between two political parties that contested against each other is acceptable under the present constitutional system."
The petition further reads, "If a coalition of Shiv Sena with the political parties against which it contested the election is allowed to form a government, the same will result in dilution of the mandate of the public and is against constitutional ethos."
The matter will most likely to be listed for the hearing next week.
