Lucknow: ETV Bharat team visits Covid-19 hotspots for reality check

ETV Bharat team visited the Covid-19 hotspots in Lucknow after Kasaiwada was sealed to know about the arrangements made by the administration. A total of 13 areas have been sealed and a team of 24 doctors have been deployed with an ambulance to assist the patients.

Lucknow: ETV Bharat team visits Covid-19 hotspots for reality check

Lucknow(Uttar Pradesh): Seeing the spike in the fresh coronavirus cases in Lucknow, ETV Bharat team decided to visit the Covid-19 hotspots to get a first-hand knowledge about the arrangements done by the administration to contain the spread of the virus.

After twelve corona positive cases belonging to the Tabligi Jamaat inside the Alijaan mosque were reported, entire area of Kasaiwada was sealed. Later, fifteen more people who came in contact with the infected patients were also found positive taking the total number of cases to 27.

With total of 849 covid-19 cases in the state, administration has sealed 13 hotspots, including Nazirabad in an effort to stem the spread of the deadly virus. Our team visited the city’s hotspot area Kasaiwada to know about the planning and steps done by the district administration.

To provide assistance to the patients, a team of 24 doctors have been deployed in the area with a well-equipped ambulance to speed up the testing process. However, few reports say that locals are not co-operating with the medical team and health workers.

"Everyday we are detecting new positive cases in the area. Continuous attempts are being made by the health team to carry out testing so that steps can be taken for prevention",said city’s Additional District Magistrate KP Singh.

A team of police personnel has been deployed for continuous patrolling in the area which is sanitized regularly and Central govt team is also assessing the same.

To reduce the hardships of the people in the area, government agencies are making home delivery of essential commodities such as medicine, milk, ratioin, fruits and vegetables in the hotspot areas. With all shops being closed, restrictions are imposed in the area and people are not allowed to move out of their houses. However, in some other lockdown areas, people have been given the ease to go to the shops and buy essential commodities.

These are the 13 hotspot areas of Lucknow:

1. Masjid Alijan and its adjoining areas under the Cantt police station.

2. Mohammadi Masjid and its adjoining areas under the Vazirganj police station.

3. Phoolbag Masjid and its adjoining areas under the Kaisar Baag police station.

4. Nazar Baag Masjid and its adjoining areas under the Kaisar Baag police station.

5 .Mohammadiya Masjid and its adjoining areas under the Sahadatganj police station.

6.Peer Bakka Masjid and its nearby areas under the Talkatora police station.

7. Khajoorwali Masjid and its nearby areas of Triveni Nagar under the Hasanganj police station.

8. Rajauli Masjid and its nearby areas under the Gudamba police station.

9.Partial areas of Vijay Khand of Gomti Nagar. Dr Iqbal Ahmed’s clinic in Indira Nagar and partial area of Munshi Puliya metro station.

10.Partial areas of Aleena Enclave of Khurram Nagar.

11.Partial areas of IIM Power House under the Mandiyav police station.

12. Nazirabad area of Kaisarbag police station.
