New Delhi: Demanding to contest elections on six specific seats in Jharkhand as a constituent of the NDA, the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) has said it would go alone if not given the desired seats to fight from.
The 81-member Jharkhand assembly will have five-phased elections beginning November 30. The last phase of the polls will be held on December 20 and the counting of votes will take place on December 23.
Jharkhand president of LJP, Virendra Pradhan, speaking to ETV Bharat said LJP was fully prepared to contest elections on its own.
"The BJP must understand it, otherwise we will go on our own," he said, adding that LJP doesn't want to harm the NDA.
"In case the BJP fails to take a decision on our demands then the LJP will fight on 30-32 seats," he said, expressing confidence that the party would win seats in double-digit in the upcoming polls.
