Five more COVID-19 patients from twin cities of Pimpri-Chinchwad near Pune are set to be discharged from hospital after they tested negative twice in latest tests, an official said.

Three patients, who tested negative for the virus twice after 14-day isolation, were discharged in Pimpri-Chinchwad on Friday.

COVID-19 cases increase to 61 in UP

The number of Coronavirus cases increased to 61 in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday after 11 people tested positive for the disease, a senior health official said.

"Cases of infection have come from 13 of the 75 districts of the state (till now)," Principal Secretary Medical Education and Health Amit Mohan Prasad told reporters.

"There are nine at Noida, one at Varanasi and one at Meerut," he said, adding that the total number of samples found positive are 61 now.

74-year-old dies of Corona symptoms, samples sent for test

A 74-year-old man from Nampally in Hyderabad has died of Corona symptoms, the Health Minister said.

The man went to Delhi for 14th to 17th March to participate in a religious ceremony, the family informed.

After returning from Delhi he started having fever and trouble in breathing.

The patient died on the way to the hospital on Thursday night, the doctor said.

The samples have been sent for test and results are awaited. 

The man's wife and son were placed in the Home Quarantine, Doctor added.

Total cases in India cross 800, 748 active

There are at least 748 active COVID-19 cases in India at present, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Saturday, taking the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country to 834.

Besides 748 active cases, the country has reported 19 casualties so far while 66 persons have recovered.

The disease has so far spread to 27 states and UTs. A total of 103 districts have been affected by the highly contagious virus.

26 COVID-19 cases in MP with 3 more test positive

A 53-year-old railway guard in Bhopal and two more members of the Jabalpur-based jeweller's staff tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday bringing the state's tally to 26.

The number of cases in Bhopal has risen to three while the break-up for the other cities is as follows: Indore 12, Ujjain two, Jabalpur six, Shivpuri two and Khandwa one. The two deaths so far were recorded at Ujjain.

The latest victim in Bhopal has not traveled to any foreign country. He was running trains till March 22 and many loco pilots have come in touch with him. He showed symptoms of illness since March 24 and was examined on Thursday

Total cases in India cross 800, 748 active

There are at least 748 active COVID-19 cases in India at present, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Saturday, taking the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country to 834.

Besides 748 active cases, the country has reported 19 casualties so far while 66 persons have recovered.

The disease has so far spread to 27 states and UTs. A total of 103 districts have been affected by the highly contagious virus.

26 COVID-19 cases in MP with 3 more test positive

A 53-year-old railway guard in Bhopal and two more members of the Jabalpur-based jeweller's staff tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday bringing the state's tally to 26.

The number of cases in Bhopal has risen to three while the break-up for the other cities is as follows: Indore 12, Ujjain two, Jabalpur six, Shivpuri two and Khandwa one. The two deaths so far were recorded at Ujjain.

The latest victim in Bhopal has not traveled to any foreign country. He was running trains till March 22 and many loco pilots have come in touch with him. He showed symptoms of illness since March 24 and was examined on Thursday
