Landslide in Arunachal, 2 injuried and NH 415 interrupted

The massive landslide that occurred in Arunachal Pradesh injuried two people, trapped another while several houses were damaged as a boundary wall collapsed in the area. The rescue operations are being carried out.

Itanagar: Two persons were injured and another was feared to be trapped in a massive landslide, that occurred here on Wednesday due to intermittent rains in Arunachal Pradesh.

The rescue operations, which are being carried out on the National Highway 415 which were highly interrupted. The rescue teams like National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) are actively working in these regions along with five excavators.

According to the local administration, many vehicles have been damaged in the landslide and are expecting for more such incidents in the coming days due to heavy rainfall in the area.

As per the records, a boundary wall collapsed in the area earlier this week which damaged nearly seven houses near ISBT. While another two houses were damaged near Lower Rakap Colony and a house was damaged near DNGC at Vivek Vihar.

Moreover, another house was damaged near 6 Kilo Bamboo depot between Itanagar-Naharlag.
