Thrissur: Kudumbashree’s Thrishivapperoor Vanitha Food Court, at Swaraj Round in Thrissur, adds another feather to its cap by launching ‘Annasree’, an android app, for delivering food directly to the people of Thrissur.

This food court run by the women attached to ‘Kudumbashree’ - Kerala’s renowned Self Help Group programme based on women empowerment - has received many accolades and recognitions earlier. It has also become a favourite food joint, famous for Thrissur’s food culture.

In the first phase, food from the 3 Kudumbashree Women’s food courts in the Thrissur Corporation limits, besides the one in Adatt Panchayath and the Medical College Cafe Kudumbashree, will be delivered to your door through the app.

Normal meals priced at the rate of Rs 40, Mini Sadhya (feast) at Rs 70, combo meals, and other local delicacies can be ordered through Annasree app.

The app also aims at promoting and inculcating healthy food habits among people, thereby boosting one’s general immunity, amid the fight against COVID pandemic.

Kudumbashree entrepreneurs have undergone special training for healthy cooking. The food ordered by customers will be delivered by women associated with Kudumbashree trained to follow COVID guidelines.
