Koppal (Karnataka): Even as the country is under lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, people are found wandering around unnecessarily.
Karnataka police are trying new ways to keep people at home.
People who came out on roads without any valid reason were made to wear clothing made from flour sacks as punishment for breaking lockdown in Ashoka circle area of Koppal District.
This punishment has a message, "People should know about the difficulties faced by Covid warriors who spend most of their time in coveralls."
Corona positive patients, as well as doctors, wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Wearing PPEs is one crucial way to prevent the spread of the virus and to keep doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers, who are in the front line fighting coronavirus, safe.
A man, who was made to wear clothing made from flour sacks as punishment for breaking lockdown said: "We cannot wear this even for 15 minutes. Police and doctors are working hard to save us. Please do not come outside unnecessarily and maintain social distancing."
