Kanpur: Residents of Kanpur's Vijay Nagar on Sunday found notes of Rs. 500 and Rs 2000 in a garbage dump here. Police inspected the spot and have begun investigation.
Kanpur: Rs 500, 2000 notes found in garbage bin
One of the ragpickers found these notes in the garbage bin around 5 am on Sunday and alerted local people. The ragpickers and the locals reportedly made away with the notes. There are reports that one of them fled the spot with Rs 10,000. However, police found no notes when they reached the spot.
Police have begun an investigation into the incident.
