Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh): Kanpur's IG Mohit Aggarwal has decided to adopt the one-year-old daughter of Subhash Batham, who held more than 20 small children hostage in Farrukhabad. At present, Aggarwal is in the fulfilling the legal process after which Gauri will be adopted.
In order to pressurize the administration over some of its demands, Subhash Batham took hostage of more than 20 small children of the village giving the reason of his daughter's birthday. After about 10 hours of effort, the children were rescued safely in the police operation. During the course of police action, Subhash was killed. The very next day his wife, Ruby Batham was allegedly thrashed by the villagers and she died during the treatment.

Amid all this, IG of Kanpur Mohit Aggarwal has decided to adopt the daughter of the accused. Currently, constable Rajni is taking care of Gauri.
Speaking to ETV Bharat correspondent, Mohit Aggarwal said that Gauri should be properly looked after. And this is the main reason why he has taken this step. Aggarwal said that he wants Gauri to become an IPS and serve society. As soon as the legal process is completed, he will adopt Gauri and admit her in a good school.
