Chennai: A day after actor Rajinikanth's meeting with District secretaries of Makkal Mandram, Makkal Needhi Maiam party president (MNM) Kamal Hassan held a press meet on Tuesday at the party head office in Alwarpet, Chennai.
Slamming the ruling party AIADMK, he accused the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palanismy of not doing enough during Cyclone Nivar.
Taking the opportunity Kamal Hassan presented the party's new general secretary Santosh Babu.
Appealing to the centre, Hassan requested the powers-that-be to listen to the farmers protesting against recently passed farm laws on the Delhi Haryana border since November 25.
When asked about the upcoming Tamil Nadu elections and the possibility of Rajini's entry into the political arena, he had this to say
"I will ask Rajini's support for the upcoming assembly election 2021" he added.
