Smart move by India: Expert
After the Parliament approved a resolution abrogating special status to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 of the Constitution and a bill for splitting the state into two Union Territories, senior journalist Gautam Lahiri said it was a 'smart move'.
"India was smart enough because Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has already discussed the issues with the P5 nations in the last 24 hours," he said.
Lahiri however, said that it remains to be seen how the people of Jammu and Kashmir react to the development.
