Speaking to ETV Bharat here after filing the petition, Ejaas Maqbool, advocate for the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, said it's a sensitive matter and we feel justice has not been done to a party involved in the case.

He said Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind respects the order of the Supreme Court but the constitution of the country provides a chance to get an apex court order reviewed in case a party remains unsatisfied.

"Everybody has to obey the orders of the Supreme Court and it has to be respected but at the same time, under article 137 of the constitution, a litigant has the right to approach the Supreme Court for pointing out an arent error on the face of the record," he said.

Maqbool was also of the view that peace and harmony would prevail in the country unless and until there was justice.

He said the highest court of the land itself had accepted illegalities in the case and that's exactly our point "how can it give the land to the other side".

Earlier in the day, Peace Party of India also announced to file a review petition in the case. All India Muslim Personal Law Board had announced to do so a few days ago.
