Intel warns of possible terror attack in Ayodhya on August 5

Ahead of the proposed foundation stone laying ceremony of Ayodhya Ram temple, intelligence agencies have warned of a possible terror attack by Pakistan-backed terrorists on August 5.

New Delhi: Ahead of the foundation laying ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodya, the intelligence agencies RAW has flagged a possible terror threat by operatives of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

According to reports, RAW has warned of a possible attack on August 5 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan Muhurta along with several VVIPs.

The intelligence agency has told the security establishments that Pakistan intelligence agency ISI is planning a massive attack in and around the Ram Janmabhoomi site.

Sources told that ISI has given special training to the terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashkar-e-Taiba in Afghanistan.

According to RAW report, ISI has sent three to four terrorists in India and they will attack in different groups in Ayodhya and on Independence Day in Delhi.

The intelligence report has also revealed that many VIPs are also being targeted by these terrorists. As per the sources, the security establishments have been alerted to keep a check on the activities mainly in Ayodhya, Delhi and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, on July 26, Jammu and Kashmir police had busted a hideout in Shopian where a massive amount of Lashkar-e-Taiba's ammunition and other incriminating material was recovered.

Prime Minister Modi will be visiting Ayodhya for the groundbreaking ceremony of Ram Mandir on August 5.

Incidentally, the date fixed for Ram temple groundbreaking ceremony, 5 August, also happens to be the first anniversary of the scrapping of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
