India's self respect won't be compromised: Rajnath Singh on border tension with China

Addressing the 'Maharashtra Jan-Samvad Rally' via video conferencing, Defence Minister and BJP leader Rajnath Singh said that talks held on June 6 between India and China were positive and the two nations have agreed to resolve the ongoing border dispute. He said that the country's leadership is in strong hands and they won't compromise on the country's self-respect.

New Delhi: Defence Minister and BJP leader Rajnath Singh addressed 'Maharashtra Jan-Samvad Rally' on June 08 through video conferencing in Delhi.

While addressing the rally, he said, "The border dispute between India and China has been ongoing for a long time. We want to solve it as soon as possible. Today Rahul Gandhi and some opposition leaders said the govt should clarify what is happening at the India-China border. As the Defence Minister of the country, I want to say that whatever I have to say I will say it inside Parliament, I will not mislead the people."

"The June 6 talks were very positive and, India and China have agreed to continue talks to resolve the ongoing tussle. I want to assure people that leadership of the country is in strong hands, and we will not compromise on the country's self-respect," he further added.
