New Delhi: Suhail bin Mohamed Faraj Al Mazrouei, Minister for Energy and Industry of United Arab Emirates (UAE), has said that his country is eager to work with India in the solar energy sector.
"We believe, with India, we can play a big role in this sector. So, we welcome any partnership with India in this regard," Mazrouei told ETV Bharat here.
Mazrouei was in the national capital to take part in the second assembly of the International Solar Alliance (ISA).
With as many as 83 countries on board, the ISA aims to promote solar energy use and address common challenges of member countries.
The ISA also aims to fight against climate change.
The UAE wants to increase its business with India, whereas India expects it to invest more in the country.
The Arabian entities have recently agreed to invest up to USD 7 billion in India's food sector in the next three years.
They plan to invest up to US$ 5 billion in mega food parks and similar facilities in various Indian cities, and up to US$ 2 billion in contract farming.
