PM Modi said he could feel what the scientists were going through

Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the scientists in the backdrop of Chandrayaan-2's lander 'Vikram' losing contact with ground stations at the ISRO Centre here on Saturday.

PM Modi said he could feel what the scientists were going through

'I could feel what you were going through'
"Friends, I could feel what you were going through a few hours back, your eyes were conveying a lot. You are those who live for Maa Bharti, you live to see her triumph. You are those who fight for Maa Bharti. You are those who have a passion for serving Maa Bharti. You are those who devote their entire lives to see Maa Bharti's head held high," he said while addressing scientists at ISRO.

Modi said we romanticised the Moon

'We romanticised the Moon'
"If a poet would have described today's events, he would have said that we romanticised the Moon and Chandrayaan was too eager to get to it."

PM Modi said the best is yet to come

'Best is yet to come'
"Entire nation was awake in solidarity with our scientists. Our determination to touch moon has become even stronger, we came very close but we need to cover more grounds. Countless people have got access to better life due to hard work of our space scientists. The best is yet to come in our space programme, India is with you."

PM Modi said India is with ISRO

'India is with you'
"India is with you. You have always given your best and will give us several more opportunities to smile. True to your nature, you ventured to a place where no one went before. You came as close as you could. Stay steady and look ahead."

PM Modi said Science is the greatest teacher

'Chandrayaan-2's journey was jaandaar, shandaar'
"Every difficulty and every struggle teaches us something new and motivates us for some new inventions, new technologies and this determines our future success. If someone is the greatest teacher of knowledge, then it is science. Science is not a failure, only experiments and efforts. The journey of Chandrayaan-2 was Shandaar, Jaandaar."

PM Modi said nothing could stop India

'Hurdles cannot put ISRO's flight out of trajectory'
"When ISRO has its encyclopedia of success, some hurdles cannot put its flight out of trajectory. Learnings from today will make us stronger and better. We will definitely be successful in our future attempts. Nothing can stop us."
