New Delhi: Taking a dig at the comment made by the Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary over his Pakistani citizenship, BJP national spokesperson Gopal Krishna Agarwal said that the Congress leader must go to Pakistan as soon as possible.
The BJP spokesperson alleged that Ranjan always deliberately made such a controversial comment to assure he will be in the headline of the big media organisations.
He further alleged that the grand old party has been misguiding the citizens of the country from the last 70-years to give benefit to the Muslim community (He said without naming the community).
The spokesperson asked the Member of Parliament from Berhampore to apologise for his comment and said, "India is not the land of Chowdhary's father so that he can cultivate whatever he wants."
During an anti- Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) rally held at West Bengal's Basirhat district on Wednesday, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary said, "Whenever I questioned over the policies of BJP, they always said Chowdhary is a Pakistani. I want to assure them, Yes, I am Pakistani."
The Congress leader also said that India is not the land of PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
"It seems India is the land of BJP leaders. They consider whatever they pass in the Parliament, must be accepted by all. If you oppose their decision, you will be tagged with 'anti-national'. India will not accept this kind of tendency anymore" added Chowdhary.
