New Delhi: Terming business and trade with the US as 'an ongoing process', the BJP on Monday said the excitement, which is being generated with the current meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump, "shows how strong India's global positioning has become".
Interacting with the ETV Bharat here, BJP spokesperson Gopal Krishna Agarwal said, "if Trump is coming here, tweeting in Hindi and telling that Modi is his great friend, shows where India has reached" in terms of its global positioning.

"...as far as trade deals are concerned, they are a continuous process, there are many things that are in our mind," he said, touching upon the problems that the two nations have concerning trade and business.
The BJP leader also said that India would not let its business interests get hit. "There are issues but India would not give up," he said, adding that it's common in global trade negotiations.
He also praised Indian diaspora, saying they too have been playing an important role in improving India's position across the globe.
Earlier in the day speaking in Ahmedabad, Trump, who is on a two-day visit to India, had termed Modi as 'tough' person to negotiate with when it comes to trade and business with India.
