Ayodhya: Dharam Das, mahant of the Nirvani Ani Akhara, has expressed displeasure over local monks and sadhus not being made part of Shri Ram Janambhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Das alleged that local peers and sadhus, including his own Akhara, have been deliberately kept away from the trust.
The Ayodhya Mahant claimed that he has written to the Central government that he will move the Supreme Court if the home ministry does not give a satisfactory reply within a month.
Dharam Das was speaking on the occasion of the death anniversary of his late predecessor Baba Abhiram Das alias Abhinandan Mishra, mahant of the Hanumangarhi temple.
Dharam Das said, "The entire Ram Jananbhoomi Kshetra Trust belongs to Ram Lalla and there should be no politics on it. Ram Lalla is the owner of the Trust but local monks have been kept away. Lord Ram owns this Trust and no one else."
He went on to add, "Trust's General Secretary Champat Rai is a shrewd man who has insulted the people of Ayodhya. He has no moral rights to visit Ayodhya. The day I see Champat Rai, I will take a holy dip in the Ganges to wash away my sins".

Das also stated that Rai and his company needs to be questioned about the Trust.
Dharam Das claims that his late predecessor had surreptitiously installed the idol of Ram Lalla on the night of December 22, 1949.
Former MLA and veteran member of Shri RamJanambhoomi Nyas Dr. Ramvilas Das Jayanti said, "Nirvani Akhara has played a significant role in shaping the Ram Janambhoomi movement. But Akhara was not given its due position in the Trust. It was on the recommendation of Ashok Singhal that I was elected as a member of the Nyas and then of Akhara. But we want that Akhara should be included as a part of the Ram Janambhoomi Trust."
