- PM Modi to inaugurate widened NH stretch, attend Dev Deepawali in Varanasi today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit his parliamentary constituency Varanasi to dedicate to the nation the widened Handia-Rajatalab section of National Highway 19.
He will also undertake a site visit of Kashi Vishwanath Temple Corridor Project, the Sarnath Archaeological Site and later attend Dev Deepawali in Varanasi, officials said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with three teams involved with developing a vaccine for COVID-19 today via video conferencing, Prime Minister's Office said in a statement.
According to the statement, PM Modi will interact with the teams of the Gennova Biopharma, Biological E, and Dr Reddy's, who are involved in developing a COVID-19 vaccine.
- India to host SCO Heads of Government meet today
India is set to host the 19th meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of Government in a virtual format today, which will be chaired by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu.
This is the first time that a Summit-level Meeting will be held under India's Chairmanship since it gained full membership of the organisation in 2017, MEA said in a statement.
- Medical counselling to resume today in Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu Directorate of Medical Education will resume counselling for State quota seats in medical and dental colleges from today.
According to the revised list, the first phase of counselling will continue till December 10.
Today, counselling will be held for 2,440 seats in government medical colleges; 1,060 seats in self-financing medical colleges; and 151 seats in government dental colleges, including Rajah Muthiah Dental College.
