1. PM Modi to attend 12th BRICS Summit today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to attend the 12th BRICS Summit hosted by Russia, under the theme 'Global Stability, Shared Security and Innovative Growth' today. The ministry also confirmed that India will host the next session of the BRICS summit in 2021.

2. Congress' special committee to meet today
After facing defeat in Bihar assembly elections and by-elections, a meeting of the special committee to assist Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi is going to take place on Tuesday. According to information received from sources, there will be a meeting at 5 pm through video conferencing but its agenda is not clear.

3. Karnataka govt decides to reopen colleges from today
After more than seven months, the Karnataka government has decided to reopen colleges in the state from today. This includes engineering, diploma, and degree colleges. Students can choose from three options — attend classes physically with written consent from their parents, continue to attend classes online, or attend a mix of offline and online classes, depending on their convenience. Government-run hostels will also be opened.
