1. PM Modi to inaugurate 6 mega projects in Uttarakhand today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate six mega projects in Uttarakhand under the Namami Gange Mission today via video conference. These projects include the construction of a 68 MLD sewage treatment plant (STP), up-gradation of the existing 27 MLD at Jagjeetpur in Haridwar and construction of an 18 MLD STP at Sarai in Haridwar.
2. SC to hear plea seeking Mehbooba Mufti's release today
The Supreme Court on Tuesday will hear a petition seeking the release of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. The plea was filed by Mufti's daughter Iltija Mufti.
3. Monsoon session of Odisha Legislative Assembly to begin from today
The monsoon session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly will begin from today. As many as 16 Bills are in the list to be tabled for discussion in session which will conclude on October 7. Both Opposition parties -- BJP and Congress -- have commenced their legislature party meetings to discuss the strategy for the session.
4. 2G case: Delhi HC verdict on plea for early hearing today
The Delhi High Court will pronounce its verdict on the petition filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) seeking an early hearing of its leave to appeal application against the acquittal of the accused persons in the 2G spectrum case today.
