Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the convocation of the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati through video-conferencing on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain for Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh on September 22 and 23. 1. PM Modi to address convocation of IIT, Guwahati through video-conferencing today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the convocation of the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati through video-conferencing on Tuesday. Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Minister of State for Education Sanjay Dhotre and other dignitaries are also expected to participate in the event. According to the statement, as many as 1,803 students including 687 B Tech and 637 M Tech students will be obtaining degrees.

2. Delhi, Haryana, UP likely to receive rain today

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain for Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh on September 22 and 23. "North-west India, particularly Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh will get good rain on September 23," senior scientist Rajendra Kumar Jenamani of IMD told a new agency, adding that overall, India has received a 7 per cent increase in rainfall this year, but north-west India witnessed a 15 per cent decrease below normal rainfall.
