1. Nitish Kumar to sound poll bugle through virtual rally today

With the Election Commission likely to announce the poll schedule by mid-September, the ruling party in Bihar, JD(U) will the sound poll bugle today when its party president and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar addresses his supporters through a virtual rally. Bihar is the first state which will have Assembly elections amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The poll is likely to be over by mid-November as the term of the 243-member House expires on November 29.

2. Delhi govt's anti-dengue campaign to start from today

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will kick off the 10-week anti-dengue campaign today, seeking to build greater awareness on prevention of vector-borne diseases in Delhi. Last year, the ''10 Hafte 10 Baje 10 Minute'' campaign had garnered the support of many celebrities as well as officials of government and other autonomous bodies.

3. Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah to reopen from today

The famous Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah here will open after over five months today, but there will be no Qawwali evenings at the shrine due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Safety measures like use of sanitizer and face covers as well as social distancing will be strictly followed at the dargah of Sufi saint Hazrat Nizamuddin, which was closed in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

The full schedule for IPL 2020 which is slated to begin from September 19 in UAE will be announced today.
