1, Nitin Gadkari to lay foundation stone of 13 National Highway Projects in Manipur today
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari will be laying the foundation stone of 13 National Highway Projects worth Rs 3000 crores in Manipur today. The event will be held in the presence of state Chief Minister N Biren Singh at 11.30 am.
Meanwhile, the Manipur govt has termed it as 'a big day' and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Act East policy.
2, India is likely to receive its new plane - Air India One (Boeing 777-300ERs) for VVIP travel today
Air India is likely to receive its custom-made B777 aircraft that will be used to fly Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other top Indian dignitaries from Boeing today. Boeing was expected to make delivery of the two aircrafts by July. However, due to COVID-19, their delivery has been delayed by a few weeks.
Another custom-made B777 plane is likely to be received from Boeing in September.
