1) PM Modi to address India Ideas Summit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver the keynote address at the India Ideas Summit today. The Summit is being hosted by US-India Business Council. This year marks the 45th anniversary of the formation of the Council. The summit will feature high-level presence from Indian and US government policymakers, state-level officials, and thought leaders from business and society.
2) Indian Air Force Commanders' Conference to commence today
The Air Force Commanders’ Conference (AFCC) will commence today at Air Headquarters (Vayu Bhawan) New Delhi. The theme of the conference is "IAF in the Next Decade".
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is likely to participate in the event by inaugurating the AFCC today. The Defence Secretary and Secretary Defence Production are also expected to be present during the inauguration.
3) Ravi Shankar Prasad to address G20 Digital Minister’s meet
Union Minister of Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad will address the G20 Digital Minister’s meeting today.
4) Second day of RSS meet in Bhopal
The second meeting of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh will be chaired by chief Mohan Bhagwat in Bhopal today. Discussions on by-elections are scheduled to take place at the meeting.
5) Sanjay Jain to appear before court in phone tapping case
Middleman Sanjay Jain who was arrested for purportedly plotting to dissolve the government in Rajasthan will be presented before a lower court by Special Operations Group in connection with the phone tapping case.
6) Fresh lockdown imposed in Raipur from today
Chhattisgarh government imposed fresh lockdown in Raipur from July 22 till July 28 in view of the rising number of coronavirus cases in the district. Six other districts including Rajnandgaon, Korba, Bemetra, Durg, Mungoli and Balaudabazar will also undergo lockdown from today.
