IIT Dharwad student Aman Singal and his friends developed a fake news detector app which will be available for users in two months. Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal in a tweet hailed the effort of the students.

Dharwad: Students at IIT Dharwad in Karnataka have invented an application (app) to detect fake news, which has been named 'Fakeweed'.

In the digital era, people get more fake news and they find it difficult to identify the credibility of any news on social media. IIT Dharwad student Aman Singal and his friends then decided to develop an application that differentiates real news from fake news.

The students of IIT Dharwad have made an effort to identify fake news. The app, which will be launched in two months, will be a great tool to find fake news.

The information about this innovation was shared by the Union Minister of Education, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on twitter. He called this "a wonderful innovation."

The app is useful for detecting fake news and uncovering the truth. App not only detect fake video, audio but also the script format.

When news is posted on social media groups, within a few seconds, the application will find out whether it is fake or real.

Also, if it turns out to be fake, the app gives real information about the news.
