New Delhi: The Supreme Court has asked the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) to submit an affidavit by Monday on a PIL challenging the option of opt out scheme from exams which are to be conducted from 29th July and 16th August.
PIL was filed by Anubha Srivastava Sahai, President of India Wide Parents Association, and was represented by Advocate Alakh Alok Srivastava in the Supreme Court.
Sahai had sought more examination centres and better precautions amid coronavirus crisis. Around 4.67 lakh students are expected to appear in the exams.
ICAI ensured the court today that no prejudice will be caused to anyone.
The bench will hear the matter after the ICAI's reply on 29th June.
