New Delhi: The Indian Air Force conducted night operations at a forward airbase near India-China border on Monday. The Air Force continued its vigil along the LAC among the heightened tensions between India and China.
Indian Air Force's MiG-29 fighter aircraft, Apache attack helicopter and Chinook heavylift helicopters were seen conducting night operations at a forward base near the Line of Actual Control.
"Night operations have inherent element of surprise. IAF is fully trained and ready to undertake entire spectrum of operations in any environment with help of modern platforms and motivated personnel," Group Captain A Rathi, senior fighter pilot at a Forward Air Base near India-China border said.

Amid the escalating tensions between India and China along the Line of Actual Control, the fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force are flying consistently in and out of the forward airbase. The entire base is seeing a flurry of activity and is playing a crucial role in enhancing the combat preparedness of the country along the China border.
Night operations were conducted soon after the first signs of disengagement between India and China on Monday.
Chinese troops deployed along the LAC in Ladakh's Galwan valley moved back with their tents and vehicles by one to two kilometres as agreed upon at Corps Commander level talks, informed Indian Army Sources on Monday.
