Hubli (Karnataka): Amid a shortage of critical safety gear such as Personal Protective Equipment during the fight against coronavirus disease, a group of young volunteers from Hubli city of Karnataka took it upon themselves to prepare face shields for those at the frontline of this battle.
Working tirelessly, the team of youngsters led by one Basavaraja Honnalli aims at preparing 500 face shields over the course of the next few days and then distributing the same among the district police, civilians, and medical professionals.

Prepared with plastic sheets and elastic bands, the face shields will prove to be a crucial contribution at a juncture when the country is preparing to import PPE’s, face masks, and shields among other things to combat the deadly virus.
It may be mentioned here that this is the second consignment of face shields the group is working on. These volunteers had earlier donated 500 similar shields to the frontline staff.
