Houston: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump will address 50,000 Indian diaspora at the 'Howdy Modi' held in Houston, Texas and thousands of Indian Americans from Chhattisgarh are taking part in it.
According to reports, Ganeshkar, the founder of NACHA (North America Chhattisgarh Association), has said that "There is a lot of enthusiasm among the people of Chhattisgarh for the program."
NACHA is present at the NRG stadium awaiting the Prime Minister's address.
The roughly three-hour-long event is being organised at the sprawling NRG Football Stadium, one of the largest in the US, which has served as a venue for some of the most impressive events starring Beyonce, Metallica, to name a few.
The event at the NRG Stadium will be followed by a luncheon meeting with elected officials and a community reception at the same venue.
PM Modi will leave for New York the same day. On September 23, he will attend the UN Secretary-General's Climate Action Summit at the UN building.
He has a packed schedule during his week-long visit to the US to attend the UNGA which includes multi-lateral engagements, interaction with the business community, bilateral meetings as also address to the Indian diaspora.
