Madhusudan Mistry terms the budget as 'Fictional budget'
While discussing the Union Budget, Congress leader from Ahemdabad Madhusudan Mistry said that the Budget does not focus on the agricultural labours. He further maintained that the budget contains some factual errors. He pointed out some of the major mistakes in the data and advised the government to rectify it soon.
The leader also asserted about landless labourers. He said, "Those who have land, they have a luxury of receiving all the schemes but those who earn as a daily wage worker, they have no way to get benefits of government-sponsored schemes.

AIADMK welcomes Sitharaman's budget and urges funds for state projects
A.K. Selvaraj (AIADMK) says Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi K. Palanisamy have welcomed the budget and the various provisions made in it for agriculture and fisheries industry. He requested the Centre to increase funding towards State projects including the national police university to maintain the performance of law and order officials, the expansion of airport at Coimbatore and Tiruchirappalli, upliftment of the real estate sector and the Godavari-Cauvery link project that has been in limbo.

Congress leader from Karnataka Jairam Ramesh said, "I could see that this budget is based on massive privatisation and I believe that this gonna hit the economy badly in the long run. The leader further mocked the government's intention of changing the abbreviation of the insurance company, LIC. He termed the union budget as "Budget Bima Nigam."
The leader further slammed the government for privatising Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). Despite the government knows that the banks are running out of cash, the government has not mentioned of rebuilding such banks, anywhere during the budget speech, added Ramesh.

New Delhi: Communist Party of India (Marxist) MP KK Ragesh on Monday gave a suspension of business notice in Rajya Sabha under Rule 267 over Supreme Court ruling that reservations for jobs, promotions, is not a fundamental right.
The Supreme Court also ruled that states cannot be directed to provide promotions to the members of the SC/ST community.
During Zero Hour, parliamentarians can raise matters of great importance without the mandatory ten days advance notice.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court will pronounce verdict on pleas challenging the Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes (SCs/ STs) (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2018, that rule out any provision for anticipatory bail for a person accused of atrocities against SC/STs.
Earlier on Monday, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Communist Party of India (CPI) also gave a suspension of business notice in Rajya Sabha under rule 267 citing the "prevailing situation in the country over the proposed NRC-NPR and CAA".
The first phase of the Budget Session of the Parliament will conclude on February 11, while the second part of the session will begin from March 2 and end on April 3.
