New Delhi: A high-level meeting of the Group of Ministers (GoM) on COVID-19 will be held at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Thursday.
A Group of Ministers (GoM) meeting led by Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan was earlier held on March 31 to review the situation over the first week of lockdown. Issues related to migrant labourers, ensuring the adequacy of essential items such as PPEs, masks, ventilators, etc were discussed in the meeting.
Hardeep S Puri, Minister of Civil Aviation, Dr S Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs, Nityananda Rai, Minister of State for Home, Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of State, Ministry of Shipping, Chemicals and Fertilisers and Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Minister of State, Health & Family Welfare will take part in the GoM meeting.

With an increase of 540 positive COVID-19 cases reported in the last 24 hours, India's tally of coronavirus cases rose to 5,734, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Thursday.
Out of the 5,734 cases, 5,095 are active COVID-19 cases and 472 patients have been recovered/discharged and one migrated. The death toll has also risen to 166 after 17 new deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
Maharashtra has reported the most coronavirus deaths at 72, followed by Gujarat at 16, Madhya Pradesh at 13 and Delhi at 9.
