Chandigarh: The High Court on Monday granted relief to senior IAS officer Ashok Khemka as it ordered to rebuff the adverse remarks made by Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar in his Annual Confidential Report (ACR) 2016-17.
Khemka had moved the court over the adverse remarks made by the CM as it hampered his chances of elevation to a higher designation. He was given less marks in the annual report.
Khemka earlier appealed in Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) over the issue but his plea was rejected. Later, he filed a petition in the High Court.
Khemka, 1991 batch senior bureaucrat, has been transferred almost 52 times in his career of 27 years.
