Ramesh Kuthumbaka has come up with a new revolutionary communication tool 'Ham Radio' to provide relief to cyclone hit states of the country. Kuthumbaka's new amateur radio direct web propagation to establish communication and can be easily accessed during the times of natural calamities.

Puri: In a bid to curtail the communication hurdle during times of distress, a unique tool of communication 'Ham radio' has become handy in disseminating information. Also termed as amateur radio, the tool uses ionospheric propagation and direct web propagation to establish communication.

The non-dependence on any relay system makes the radio operate under any circumstance. With no interference or servers, the signals reportedly go straight from the sender to the ionosphere, from where it directly reaches the receiver.

While the system is mainly used for developmental communication and crisis management, the ham radio can be used as a significant tool to reduce the damage inflicted upon people during natural calamities remain undeniable.
