New Delhi: After chairing a meeting of party presidents of all political parties having representation in Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Wednesday termed the meeting as a "great" and fruitful one.
PM Modi took to Twitter to express his satisfaction over the success of the meeting conducted by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

A wide range of issues and ideas including 'One Nation, One Election', ways of improving productivity in Parliament, celebration of Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary, and development of aspirational districts were discussed in the meeting attended by 21 party presidents.
Claiming that a majority of political parties were in favour of "One Nation, One Election" idea, the government announced that PM Modi will constitute a committee to study the feasibility of the concept.

Opposition parties such as Congress, DMK, TMC, TDP, JD (S), SP and BSP decided to boycott the meeting.
