New Delhi: The committee of secretaries headed by Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba on Thursday decided to take necessary action against anyone charging an exorbitant price for the mask, sanitizer and other health-related logistics material given Covid-19 outbreak.
Official sources said that the committee of secretaries held review meeting over the preparedness of Covid-19 in the afternoon.

Later in the evening, the committee of secretaries has also submitted its recommendations to the Group of Ministers over Covid-19.
"The committee of secretaries in its meeting reviewed the overall actions taken to fight against Covid-19 in India. The meeting also reviewed the preparedness of state governments in this connection," officials said.
It was resolved in the meeting that the community should be aware of all the steps taken by the government and to solicit their support in government efforts for managing Covid-19.
The meeting also reiterated that states shall take necessary action to ensure that all sporting events, competition and the religious gathering shall be postponed and it shall be ensured that required social distance is maintained even in a small gathering.
