The video, released by Rahul Gandhi, is a part of Congress' social media campaign '#SpeakUpForJobs', aiming to attack the Central Government over mishandling of economy during COVID-19 situation. Through this campaign, Congress alleged that the job loss increased during the COVID-19 lockdown is because the Government failed to handle the situation
In his video, Gandhi said, "You are the future of our country and now you are witnessing the future. Before Corona reached India, I had warned in February that a storm is coming and we should prepare for that. But this Government made fun of me."

"Even after that, I suggested that Government must take 3 important steps- transfer money in the accounts of poor people, save small and medium industries as they are the backbone of our economy and future of the youth of our country, and lastly to protect the strategic industries of India. But they did nothing," he reminded
Gandhi also alleged that rather than saving the economy, the Central Government waived off loans of 15-20 crony capitalists of India. He accused PM Modi of destroying the Indian economy and the future of the youth of this country.
He again reiterated his previous demands to the Government, while adding, "Stop privatizing Public Sector Units of India to help your friends.
He also demanded a reply from Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the unemployment issue as well as over the border tensions with China. "You haven't spoken anything from a very long time. Speak Up. The entire country is looking towards you," Gandhi said.
